Submissions

The authors are invited to present their original work in any of the CIDESD program areas (CREATIVELAB, STRONG and GERON). Each of these areas is expanded below but the sub-topics list is not exhaustive. The original work may address one or more of the listed sub-topics, although authors should not feel limited by them.

STRONG PROGRAM:
• Sports Physiology and Genetics

• Performance Analysis
• Creativity, Collaborative Work and Decision-Making
• Sports Coaching

Authors can submit their original work in the form of an ABSTRACT, free of charge. Each presenter (first author) are able to submit one abstract.

After undergoing the reviewing process, all authors will be informed about the condition of their submission (accepted or rejected) by September 30, 2014. Presenters must be registered and have paid registration fees for the congress.


Submission Guidelines
• Authors should submit their work in Portuguese, English or Spanish, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling;
• Abstracts are restricted to one page (approximately to 3000 characters), including tittle, authors, affiliation, spaces and references;
• It must include Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions and References. The Methods section should make mention to subjects, procedures, measures and statistical analysis.
• If tables or figures are absolutely essential to convey research results, the authors can attach a word file, containing all abstract information. The abstract must be written in paper format A4 with 2.5 cm margins, Times New Roman, font size 12 with single line spacing. • All entries must be submitted through online submission platform easy-chair (available at: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cidesd2014), the authors can also attached a word file containing the abstract as aforementioned. After the submission has been successfully completed, authors will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail.


Presentation
Abstracts are assigned to present at Poster or oral session, according to authors option. However the Scientific Committee can invite the authors to change the presentation mode. The authors are invited to present the written information (power point or poster) in English although the oral information can be transmitted either in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
1. Oral presentation
Oral presentation format is PowerPoint. Oral presentation time will be 10 minutes plus 5 minutes of discussion. Oral presentations must be pre-uploaded in the Speakers Room in advance of your presentation (lunch beak).
2. Poster presentation
The poster booths will be able to host an A0 sheet in PORTRAIT orientation. Please consider that this is the maximum dimension allowed, but feel free to keep your poster smaller if this better fits your printer specifications. The posters should be hang at the beginning of the macro session of interest and removed at the end of the own session. Presenting Authors for posters are requested to be available in the Poster Exhibition all at the time and day that will be indicated.


Publications of abstracts & papers
All abstracts will be published in the electronic proceedings, Book of Abstracts by IPG. Following the congress presentation, the authors of the most relevant communications (oral and poster) will be invited to extend their work into a short paper. The accepted Short Papers (6-8 pags.) will be selected for publication in a special edition of the Journal Egitania Sciencia (ISSN: 1646-8848).
